Final Reflection

My english progress 2008-2010

This is my last post in English, comparing compositiosn last year I have improved a little.
To write in english has been difficult for me, I have worked very hard in every post. Even thought my difficults I belive my effort has served to improve my English.
I can see my development during first and second Batxillerat.
Firstly the structure of my composition, for example before it's more informal and brief than my last writting.
I don't writter faster because I make use of the dictionary. I can't dispense it. Anyway I make less mistakes.
I use a higher amount of connectors such as 'first of all', 'Firstly', 'moreover' or 'in conclusion or in fact". Also the vocabulary is more rich, and without lots of repetitions.

The second presentation, the topic is more interesant that others because it's my resarch project. My progress isn't visible in the oral presentations because I'm very nervous and I have difficulty. The first presentation oral wasn't good because there were a lot of text in the power point and I read everytime. Now, I think that I have improved my pronunciation, my body language and the fluency.



My English COMPETENCE in 2010


From all my work I don't know to say which is the best written and oral post. From the orals, I choose the last one about my country. Firstly because it had enjoy a lot and I like this topic and I have learnt a lot of things. I didn’t feel nervous, because I was alone and I was very natural.

I want improve my english this summer but I won't have time. Next year I would like to go a different country for practise this language. English is very important to go everywhere!!

LONDON Going out in the capital!!!

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom.
I will explain my favourite popular tourist attractions!!

The National Gallery houses has a great collections of Western European painting!!
Art works proceded from 1250 to 1900, we can see work by , da Vinci, Botticelli, Rembrandt, Van Gogh... Entry is free!!


British Museum is famous around the world. It exhibits the works of man prehistoric to actual, include the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures, and the mummies in the Ancient Egypt collection. Also the entry is free!

The London Eye is a important skyline!! It is a major feature of London's! It is the world's highest wheel, with 32 capsules, with 10 tonnes, and holding up to 25 people. It's a fantastic moment! all in just 30 minutes!

Madame Tussauds, you can see face-to-face the world's most famous faces, for example Her Majesty the Queen! or Shakespeare, Beatles...

Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household!!!

Opinion essay: The influence of Psychologists on our society

Every time more people go more often to psychologists. They are people who try to help people that have problems.
Psychologists have a lot of influence on people because we can find them everywhere like hospitals, schools, in the business companies and police.

Firstly they can solve our problems,they are well considered by the society because they help people and can be the answer to our psychological necessities.
The image of the psychology has changed, In the past, meant you were a big problem like to be crazy, they were not very well considered.

On the other hand I think go to the psychologist to know more about myself.

In conclusion, It's true,the psychology influences our society. I think that we have psychology dependence.It's a good way to meet and live better!

Should human rights be enforced by law or optional?

Human rights are essential for life because it talks about the freedom and respect between humans. Everybody has human rights, these are universal, unfortunately not comply in all places. Abscence of human rights creates injustice. There are a lot of things in the world that are unfair, for example murder, torture, abuse...
Human rights should be enforced by law. We can not tolerate these terrible actions.
On the other hand I believe we can not trust people to do this actions. We need the state of punishment, we ensure compliance!

Finally the society prefers welfare own that the needs that others! Unfortunately, It's reality!!

In conclusion I belive this way we can make the world a better place!

I would like to explain my proposals about the climate change, a big problem that affects all humanity.
First of all I should insist on the use local measures for example create awareness and support campaigns.

In my opinion it was not a good way to burn or cut plants and trees. It would be great if people were making sense of responsibility and recycling objects.
Secondly if all people do a small gesture, we will change the world. There is lack of awareness!Fi nally we should use public transport but it's expensive. Governments should lower the price of train and bus tickets. Thank you for you attention.

Description of a person: Alessandra

I will describe my friend Alexandra. She is 18 years old and she lives in Ampuriabava near the sea with her parents. She doesn’t have any pets because Alessandra’s mother hates animals. Her greatest virtue is helping others. It’s fantastic to have her as a friend. Since I’ve known her, she has always been very funny and joyful. Everyone qualifies Alessandra as a crazy and talkative person, she sometimes talks to herself, but at the same time is reserved.
I call Alessandra with the name Ale, is shorter and easier. She is lazy sometimes begins many things but she doesn’t finish them. The things she likes most in the world are: sleep long hours, go to party, stay with her boyfriend and travel around the world. Her greatest desire is to have money and have a black kitty. Her greatest fault is she is really moody.
Physically she’s very beautiful when we go to the disco the boys go crazy for dance
with her. Ale dances the salsa magnifically. Her hair and eyes are brown. She has very marked characteristics. She isn’t tall but she has a lot of strength. She has a nice body!!!!!!

Presentation
To make my oral presentation I used a powerpoint. It'ts good because I can look the pictures and the parts of the test. I think that it's fantastic to introduce pictures.

Body language and eye contact
Sometimes I didn't spent most of the time looking at the audience. I made gestures for example moving my hands and fingers. I don't like oral presentations because I'm a lot nervous.

Structure
My research project were organized in order of importance.

Language
I think the language I used was quite poor. I use technical word but I'm not naturally when I'm talking.

Pronuntation and Entonation
The pronuntation is improvable. I have to strive. Also there were difficults!

1. What are human rights?
Human rights are basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled.


2. When did human rights start?
Human rights started the 10th December 1948, after the Second World War.


3. Why were they created?
Because all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights

4. How many human rights are there?
There are 30 human rights.


5. Which human right were you not familiar with?
There are human rihat wasn't familiar for me. For example No one shall be deprived of his life intentionally save in the execution of a sentence of a court following his conviction of a crime for which this penalty is provided for by law. Nobody has the right to kill anyone.

6. Choose one human right and discuss:
All rights like me. I think everything is related. I don't have preference.
if I will to choose,I choose the no-torture. I hate the physical abuse.

7. Are Humans rights relevant in the world today? why?
It's essential for life. It's the least. Unfortunately many people may not have. Life is a right and good to know.

Paper books&electric books

It's time for electric books. Paper books are history?
do you agree?
The world has changed rapidly .the objects are attached to technology to make our life more comfortable.
Firsty I don't agree with this afirmation. The problem is that it's bad for the vision. The fact to be concentrated is very negative for vision. I think that in the world there are a lot of electrony, tecnology... I don't like this methode, life seems to walk alone.
Secondly, perhaps it's more comody than normals books. We begin informatize all. It's very boring, it's all the same. We always search the comodity, but sometimes it's ot good.
I would say that the another problem is that we use energy and the tradictional book is more ecologic than others. I also like dedications in the books. I love to underline my favourite phrases!
